Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don't provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
Material Explanation
Nubuck Leather - Top-grain cattle leather sanded or buffed on the grain side (outside) to give it a soft, velvet-like surface. Similar to suede, it is resistant to wear yet with a softer touch and classier appearance.
Details
Cons Traction Rubber - Converse maintains their iconic outsole and has updated their classic Converse vulcanized rubber compound to increase board traction for today's skateboarder and offers 70% increased griptape traction.
CX Foam Sockliner - This highly absorbent CX foam made from molded polyurethane (PU) provides comfort and cushioning that will keep its shape and never pack-out giving you lasting protection.
CX Foam Insole - The CX Foam Insole is a lightweight insole that provides board feel and impact protection.
Gusseted Tongue - The tongue gusset offers a comfortable, snug fit for a more locked-in feel. It also provides added protection from the elements keeping your feet drier in wet weather.

Converse One Star Pro Mid Skate Shoes - mason/black/white
They do run large, just as every review said. I normally wear 12, but ordered an 11 and found the size to be appropriate. That said, I have never had a shoe rub my heal raw, but these have managed to do so. These might be the second worse shoes I have ever owned for comfort, and are only surpased by the Nike Shocks. Perhaps they will get better over time, but after wearing them about 5 - 6 times they are showing no signs of improvement. The grip is good on these, and that is the only reason I didn't give them a 1 star.

Converse One Star Pro Mid Skate Shoes - navy/white/black
Generally wear a size 11, but these shoes run big. There still an awesome shoe, just wish they wear snug on the feet. Great material and look pretty durable.

The pictures don't do this shoe justice. So much better in person. Don't sleep on this one.

Should you buy a half size down in this shoe like most people recommend with the chuck taylors?
