Smith I/O Mag ChromaPop Goggles + Bonus Lens

Utilizing Smith's MAG™ lens change system, these goggles are designed for optimized performance. Simple locking mechanisms and magnetic contact points make changing this lens simple and efficient. The magnetic contact points guide the lens to the proper position, while mechanical locks on each side keep the lens secure during rigorous riding and impact. Smith's ChromaPop lenses and Tapered Lens Technology give you crisp contrast and color definition. AirEvac™ ventilation in combination with a 5X™ anti-fog treatment and Porex™ pressurization technology, keep these goggles fog-free.

AirEvac Integration Technology - AIREVAC: MAXIMUM AIRFLOW IS CRUCIAL. Goggles fog when standard helmets trap warm, moist air in the goggle chamber. Smith’s AirEvac ventilation systems generate maximum airflow that pulls warm, fog-causing air out of the goggle. The warm air is allowed to exhaust out of the top of the goggle and begin its path through the helmet’s AirEvac system.
DriWix 3-Layer Face Foam - Increased density in base layer foam reduces hot spots helping form a tighter seal on the face. Mid-layer foam provides a plush comfortable layer, perfectly sealing on the face and absorbing sweat and moisture. Fleece lining is soft against the skin for long-lasting comfort.
Spherical Carbonic-X Lens - Smith has set the standard in lens performance. Each lens is individually molded to offer optimum scratch and impact resistance, increased visual acuity, and enhanced contrast sensitivity. The inner lens is impregnated with Smith's Anti-Fog lens treatments for increased anti-fog performance. The Carbonic-X lens meets Class 1 optical standards as well as ANSI Z80.3 standards.
5x Anti-Fog - Building upon the hydrophilic, micro-etched surface area principles of Smith's Fog-X lenses, the 5X Anti-Fog inner lens has been engineered to provide more than five times the absorptive properties of anything on the market. Initial testing showed standard anti-fog lenses fogging between 30-50 seconds. Smith's proprietary, 5X Anti-Fog treatment withstood fogging for more than 120 seconds in controlled lab tests.
ChromaPop™ - ChromaPop™ lenses are the most advanced polarized lenses in the world and allow you to see true colors more quickly to maximize your visual experience. By blocking color wave intersections as they pass through the lens, ChromaPop™ is able to eliminate color confusion, enabling you to see the outside world with an unparalleled level of vibrancy beyond normal capabilities.
*Available only on select colors.
Fog-X Lens Treatment - Smith's Fog-X treatment employs a hydrophilic, micro-etched surface to absorb moisture and disperse it over a wide surface area to prevent fogging. Because it is physically carved into the lens, it can't be wiped away like other fog treatments.
Porex Filter Technology - Changes in elevation bring changes in atmospheric pressure. These forces have the potential to diminish the optics of thermal lens systems. Smith's patented Porex filter solves this issue by allowing the air pressure within the sealed lens chamber to equalize with the atmosphere outside, ensuring class 1 optical standards.
Tapered Lens Technology (TLT) - When light passes through a medium, it refracts, or changes course. If left uncorrected, this refraction can cause visual distortion and eye fatigue. Smith's Tapered Lens Technology straightens out the incoming light rays by progressively tapering the lens from the optical center toward the peripheral view. What this means for you is that you see with 100% accuracy and maximum comfort.
I/O MAG - Flip up the quick release levers, pop out the lens and remove from the magnetic contact points, then place new lens on magnetic contact points and secure with side levers.
Lenses come in a variety of colors and tints, all of which carry their own unique Visible Light Transmission (VLT) rating. VLT rates how much light a lens allows to pass through and is scaled 0-100%. Goggles and lenses with VLT ratings closer to 0% will block out more light, while lenses closer to 100% will allow more light to pass through for better visibility in low light conditions. Often times, lenses come with versatile VLT ratings which fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum allowing them to provide good visibility in a variety of conditions.
Smith ChromaPop Storm Rose Flash Lens - VLT Rating: 50%
Excels In: Variable Conditions
Cloudy/Variable light lenses (like this one) provide the widest range of UV protection and visibility. With a Visual Light Transmission (VLT) rating that covers the middle of the spectrum, these are a great option if you need one lens to perform well in all conditions.
