Overview

Check out Danny Davis' latest powder-freeride board. The stiffer flex pattern and directional camber profile magnify the level of response and control with camber towards the back and a lofty, rocker-nose for float. Frostbite Edges help out on hard pack and a tapered shape boosts the float in deep pow helping to hold a line when you're headed down a chute or into the trees.

Key Features

Directional Camber Profile - Burton's directional camber profile puts a camber profile at the back with rocker at the nose, allowing for a shorter and more maneuverable board. By moving the camber back the transition into rocker naturally lifts the board at the nose, providing you with a more floaty ride in powder and allowing you to maintain momentum and stability on those deep powder days.

Squeezebox™ Core - Helps transfer energy outward from under your feet, energizing the tip and tail for added snap when executing a turn and ollieing. Thinner core sections underfoot transitions to thicker, more powerful areas between and outside your feet for a more stable board that can be powered up and manipulated with less effort.

Frostbite Edges - Edges beneath your bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don't. Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining ever-forgiving in softer conditions.

The Channel® - The Channel is an exclusive Burton mounting system using a central spine that allows you to micro-adjust stance width, angle, and toe-to-heel centering with ease while at the same time dispersing energy for added rebound and snap.

(Only Channel-compatible bindings work with this board)

Core

Super Fly II™ 700g Core - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.

Dualzone™ EGD™ (Engineered Grain Direction) - The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.

Infinite™ Ride Construction - A Burton exclusive technology allows their boards to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Spring-loaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

FSC™ Certified - Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™ C124994) certified. The FSC™ is an independent non-profit that promotes environmentally sound management of forests.

Laminates

45° Carbon Highlights Hi-Voltage Stringers - Carbon Highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce overall weight and fine-tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. A 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.

Base

Sintered WFO Base - Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays "Wide F!#@ing Open" all season in any condition.

Additional Features

Pro-Tip™ - A tapered tip and tail thickness that reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

Super Sap® Epoxy - Resin formulated with bio-based materials, reducing the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board.

Warranty

3 Year Warranty - Covered under manufacturer warranty for 3 years from the time of purchase! Warranty includes structural defects only and DOES NOT cover impact damage, abuse, misuse or normal wear and tear expected from aggressive riding.

Sorry folks, but bashing your board on a rock or rail does not qualify as a "manufacturer's defect" and will not be honored.

Burton Deep Thinker Snowboard
This is definatley an advanced board when it comes to carving and one mistake can make for a few headaches. But once you have it down this thing tears anything up. From an icy groomed run to fluffy powder I had some of the best rides of my season. The nose easily stayed out of the powder while barely putting any wieght on my back foot. If your looking for a board with some power that can handle any condition and make it fun the Deep Thinker is the way to go.
