The Scout is a tough and durable all-season helmet for daily shredders. The Bombshell construction offers excellent protection and dent resistance, and the self-adjusting Lifestyle Fit system keeps your goggles in place and forms to the shape of your head to make for distraction free riding. AirEvac 2 technology and eight vents keep your head from overheating while you're dialing in your bag of tricks.
AirEvac Ventilation: Maximum Airflow - Smith's patented goggle ventilation technologies combined with revolutionary AirEvac helmet ventilation keeps air moving seamlessly out of the goggle and through the helmet to create a fully integrated system designed to eliminate fog.
Bombshell Construction - Bombshell construction uses an injection molded ABS shell to withstand high-impacts and offer unparalleled durability, dent, and ding resistance. If you expect your helmet to be as tough as your truck, Bombshell delivers.
Bombshell Ear Pads - Ergonomically designed to be form fitting and comfortable.
8 Vents - 8 vents strategically placed throughout the helmet for even air circulation and breathability. Tested and proven by Smith for optimum comfort and performance.
Removable Goggle Lock - A removable goggle lock makes your Smith helmet work great all year round for sports that don't always require goggles. Snow, skate or bike, Smith covers all the bases.
Fixed Venting - Fixed venting means that air circulates throughout your helmet through non-adjustable vents.
ASTM F2040 Certified (USA - Snow) - Meets the certification standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials to withstand a single high impact in non-motorized recreational snow sports such as snowboarding and skiing. Not designed to withstand multiple high impacts.
CE EN 1077:2007 B Certified (Europe - Snow) - Meets the current European certification standards to withstand a single high impact and a variety of puncture impacts in non-motorized recreational snow sports such as snowboarding and skiing.
MIPS Technology - The Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) separates the shell of the helmet from the liner via a low-friction layer. When the helmet experiences an angled impact, the low-friction layer allows the helmet to slide relative to the head. This action dramatically reduces the rotational force from an angled impact and decreases brain damage.
