Spark R&D was born from just that, a spark. While dreaming of a world where splitboard-specific bindings existed, mechanical engineer and founder, Will Ritter, decided he would take matters into his own hands. And so Will began designing his very own splitboard bindings. Eventually the positive word-of-mouth spread and the overall enthusiasm and demand led to the establishment of Spark R&D in 2006.

Remaining rider-owned and operated since day one means Spark R&D is fully committed to manufacturing the best products possible. This includes in-house manufacturing from design to assembly, guaranteeing a higher level of control and integrity.
